The short version: this site collects your email when you ask it to, counts page views anonymously, and that's about it. The details:
Signup forms on this site are run by Kit (kit.com). Type in your email and Kit stores it — that's the only personal data this site collects, and it's used for the emails you signed up for. Nothing else; never sold or shared. Every email includes an unsubscribe link — one click and you're off the list. Want the address deleted from Kit entirely? Email me and it's gone.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. It's anonymous and cookie-free — no ad tracking, no profile of you.
Cookies and third parties
Kit's form script loads once you interact with a page that has a signup form, and it can set a cookie so the form remembers you've subscribed. Pages with a map load tiles from Mapbox, so your browser makes requests to their servers — same as loading any image. Some outbound links are affiliate links (see the disclosure in the footer); the shop sees that the click came from here, but nothing about you goes with it.
